MediaTek(Ralink) MT7630E drops connection after installing KB2868725

Well, after deploying and patching our brand new HP Laptops equipped with WIFI adapter:

MediaTek (Ralink) MT7630E

started to drop connection and finally wouldn’t connect at all.

Problematic update switches off RC4 algorithm in Windows 7, thus braking the WIFI.

Solution is simple, don’t install it or uninstall if you have problems.

Seems OK after uninstalling the update and reinstalling the driver of the MT7603E wifi card.

    THANKS!!!

I’m glad it helped you. That card gave us a lot of problems in our HP laptops. On later edition of HP laptops that card was replaced with other brand 🙂
